We are pleased to present a digital archive of selected papers from the Brooklyn Jewish Center, the first all-encompassing Jewish “Community Center”, established in 1920.  The Center was vibrant contributor through decades of Jewish communal life in Brooklyn, New York.  The papers of Brooklyn Jewish Center are now broadly available through the digitization of complete portions of its archives.

The joint digitization effort was made possible through a generous grant from the Metropolitan New York Library Council - METRO. Contributing partners in this project are The Library of The Jewish Theological Seminary and Oholei Torah, the school that now thrives in the Brooklyn Jewish Center, and inherited archival papers and memorabilia from the Center.

We hope you will share this site with others.
